THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The terms above apply to EmbedStudio itself — the software written by the
copyright holder named above. They do not apply to the third-party components
distributed with it, each of which is governed by its own licence. Those
licences are reproduced in full under Help → About EmbedStudio → Copyright
→ View Third-Party Licenses, and in the `licenses/third-party/` directory of a
source checkout.

Some of those components are distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public
License — the Qt libraries and the Qt for Python (PySide6, shiboken6) bindings
under LGPL v3, and libusb under LGPL v2.1. With respect to those components,
and notwithstanding anything above:

  1. They may be modified. Nothing in this licence restricts modifying an
LGPL-covered component, building your own version of it, or using it
under the terms of its own licence.

  2. They may be replaced. Each is distributed as an ordinary, uncompressed,
dynamically linked shared library file. Replacing one of those files with
your own build of the same component is permitted, and EmbedStudio will
     load the version it finds.

  3. Reverse engineering of EmbedStudio is permitted to the extent necessary
to debug modifications you make to an LGPL-covered component, and you may
make and publish the information gained by doing so, as required by
section 4(e) of the LGPL v3 and section 6 of the LGPL v2.1.

  4. The complete corresponding source code for each LGPL-covered component
distributed with EmbedStudio, for the exact version distributed, is
     available at https://embed-studio.com/download/third-party-sources/ .
Each component's notice in the third-party catalog names its upstream
source as well. This offer is valid for three years from the date you
     received the software.

Where any term above conflicts with the licence of a third-party component,
that component's own licence governs.
